So the Ben Franklin Bridge is awesome to bike over.  I did it not too long ago so I could explore Camden.  The people I met over there were all very nice, but I did meet a dog over there that probably was going to kill me.  Luckily its owner was able to restrain the beast from having me for dinner.

In any case, Bike Week (not this Bike Week) is next week, and they’re going to keep the bridge opened until 11pm! Just keep in mind that it’ll be dark, and there are parts of the walkway where you’re really not supposed to bike, and I can only imagine they’ll be more dangerous when you can’t see anything.

Enjoy!

I wonder where 99999-9999 would be.  The highest ZIP Code is 99950 in the extreme southeastern part of Alaska, including the City of Ketchikan, AK. 99999 is reserved for special uses only.  Sorry Netflix.

I wonder how it works for slugs

OK, that picture is horribly cruel, but the article is a decent read.

So the Lehigh Valley is a decent place to visit, with Musikfest, and Dorney Park, and Ski Slopes.  Also the area is trying to get the Phantoms to play hockey in the valley.  Well, it’s the 25th year of creating these cool little maps for the Lehigh Valley.  They’re free, so try to pick one up!

The 2009 Lehigh Valley Map & Guide is complimentary and can be requested by calling 1-800-747-0561 or visiting www.LehighValleyPA.org. Guides are also distributed at more than 60 brochure racks located in hotels and at select attractions throughout the region.

I’m going to try to find one in the racks at 30th Street Station or New York Penn Station.

Easier E-Z Pass ahead for I-78, I-80 — themorningcall.com.

This might make me suck it up and pay the I-78 toll, rather than just taking the free bridge.  Currently the E-Z pass has a gate that doesn’t open until your pass is read.

For people like me who can’t justify paying $50+/mo for cable, antenna TV is the only way to watch anything.  Luckily a lot of good stuff comes over antenna, but the gov wants to change that!  They have set a date to change to all digital tv by Feb 17, 2009, which now might get changed again, to some time in June or maybe even July.  This is good news to people like me who were slow on getting their coupon for a converter box.  I was just planning on not watching TV anymore, hulu.com and the networks do a good job at providing it over the internet.

Circuit City seeking to liquidate.

It looks like Circuit City’s going to be closing down all of their stores, and sending ~35,000 people to the unemployment lines.  The only ray of hope is if someone decides to buy them out… and that’s not looking likely right now.

Despite this being horrible news, there should be some good deals coming from Circuit City in the future, so keep an eye out!
